June in Primary ELS

The children started Term 3 with the same positive attitude they showed in Term 2. They have started exciting new topics for Connected Learning and this means that there is new vocabulary, concepts and writing styles to learn.

This month, some students will start one last learning unit each to complete the academic year.

Please take a look at the links below to learn more about these final units of learning. In addition to new work in their literacy classes, we will continue to work hard on their reading accuracy, fluency and comprehension skills in our daily reading lessons.

Electricity is an energy that makes things work. It flows along wires inside our house and classroom. Our lights, TVs, computers, mobile phones, cars, and many other things use electricity. In today’s world, most people use electricity every single day. We would find it difficult to live without electricity. But how does electricity really work? Click on the videos below to start your journey!

Year 4- Dinosaurs

Welcome to the fascinating world of dinosaurs! You probably know there are different types of dinosaurs. Meat eaters, dinosaurs from different times and places and different scientific classifications. But how much do you really know? Check out this dinosaur quiz  to check your knowledge before you start the journey. The short videos below will help them get a head start.

Year 5

The Y5 students are about to learn about out amazing Solar System. We know that when we look up at our sky on a clear day we will see the sun. What else do we see in our sky? What is it?
