March in Primary ELS
We are approaching the end of Term 2 and everyone has been very busy in class. Soon the children (and teachers!) will enjoy a well-earned break for Songkran before returning for Term 3 on April 23. The ELS team would like to thank
the parents for their ongoing support; it is essential to our programme.
When we return, the students will be studying exciting new Connected Learning topics. Please take the time to watch the videos below to find out more.
Lastly, please ensure that your child is up to date with both their reading homework (provided through their USB memory stick) and any additional work that has been sent home (such as vocabulary worksheets which help the children understand their classroom work).
Connected Learning
The links below relate to the new Connected Learning topics.
Connected Learning
Year 3- You are what you eat!
Food
is essential. It gives us energy to do the things that we want to do. By
learning about the different types and amounts of food our bodies need, we can
plan healthier diets and enjoy longer lives. But how much do we really know
about how food is produced and prepared? Where does it come from? Do we all eat
the same things? Why do
we need to have a balanced diet? How can we get healthy? What happens to the
food I eat? Check out the videos below to start learning the answers.
Year 4- Extreme Earth
The tectonic plates that form the Earth’s crust are always moving. Even the smallest movement can cause huge earthquakes, volcano eruptions and tsunamis that devastate communities across wide areas. If we can understand what is happening underground, we can learn to predict and protect ourselves in the future.
What is under the earth? What is an earthquake? What happens when a volcano erupts? Click on the links below to find out more.
